i still love this blog better

i still love this blog better
just got back from southern california.
i ask myself why i'm still in france.
it's been 3 years.

i'm tired of it.

i miss san diego.
i miss the ocean, the beach, the nature.
i miss the people that are so sunny and nice.
i miss sailing.
i miss dance.
i miss driving on the highway going off to the end of the world.
i miss mexican food.
i miss the open, welcoming diversity.
i miss the blue sky, the green grass, the wide open spaces.
i miss the malls.
i miss victoria's secret.
i even miss surfing that i've never done (besides that one time that i almost got killed.)

what am i doing in a country that i don't like doing a job that i hate?
living in a bird cage ...
i don't know why the caged-birds sing.
if they do, they're really crying.

Ca veut absolument rien dire...

Ca veut absolument rien dire...
"The management team moves confidently into the second half as we continue to execute our strategies, capitalising on front-end strengths, while improving upon back-end challenges, looking to extend this momentum to the full financial year."

Quoting Angela Ahrendts, CEO of Burberry - Vogue UK 14/11/2006

This is some elaborate bullshit, but a good example of how to respond to journalistes or financial analysts regarding your company's performance. I'm sure you can learn this from Business Schools! In sum, she did not answer the question!

Les Filles

Les Filles
So 2 months after... I started my new job as sales for jewellery brand Chaumet (www.chaumet.com), Jelena renewed her internship as AXA, and Lisa takes on a part-time job at Frog & Rosbif (a British Pub in France, therefore the name) while interviewing for real jobs. So at least for now, we are all employed in Paris, somehow all in transition...

We went to a photo exhibition of DOU, a young Russian photographic artist, at the Espace Pierre Cardin. We all made efforts dressing up to the occassion, but, as we later found out, everyone else was "casual". Oh well, it doesn't hurt to be the over-dressed ones sometimes!
